In 1939, winegrowers from three communes joined forces to create the Cave des Vins Fins de Cruet, steeped in tradition and looking to the future. Located in the heart of the Combe de Savoie, the vineyard stretches along the southern slope of the Bauges massif, from the communes of Saint Jeoire Prieuré to Freterive, passing through Chignin, Francin, Montmelian, Arbin, Cruet, Saint Jean de la Porte and Saint Pierre d'Albigny.

The winemakers manually and separately harvest each grape variety at its optimum ripeness. The harvest is then transported to the Cave de Cruet reception dock to be vinified after undergoing rigorous quality and quantity control. Raised, selected, and packaged in our cellars, our vintages are therefore made exclusively from grapes from winemakers who are members of our cooperative.

By combining modern winemaking techniques with traditional methods, our wines reflect the identity of their grape varieties and express the best of the Savoie terroir. In Cruet, we offer white wines from the Jacquère, Chardonnay, Altesse (Roussette de Savoie) and Roussane (Chignin Bergeron) grape varieties from the Kimmeridgian marls, while the best limestone scree of Tithonian produces excellent red wines from Gamay, Pinot and Mondeuse. While the Jacquère grape variety finds its preferred terroir with the Chignin and Cruet crus, Mondeuse flourishes in Arbin and especially Saint Jean de la Porte, its original cru. With a cultivated vineyard area of 360 hectares, the Cave de Cruet produces more than 20% of Savoie wines, ensuring all stages of vinification, storage, packaging and marketing.

When it was founded in 1939, the Cave des Vins Fins de Cruet had a capacity of 7,500 hectoliters. Today, the volume of its vat room reaches 47,000 hectoliters. After being equipped with pneumatic presses "Buscher RPX 250 and RPX 150" allowing moderate and selective pressing of the grapes, a temperature control system to regulate the fermentation phases, new computerized reception docks for rigorous and selective control of the grapes, new Kieselgühr and rotary drum filters, the Cave des Vins Fins de Cruet inaugurated in 1998 its new "Stone" bottling line which allows complete sterilization of the drawing-corking monobloc and vacuum bottling. In addition, each station is equipped with a safety and control system allowing perfect packaging. A new four-station labeling machine allows for all types of labeling, both in large series and for personalized packaging.
